In darkness, I found peace
The silence of the night
A moment of clarity
Of purity, of calm
Where once were demons
And monsters and pain
Now reside the shadows
Of tranquillity and calm
They soothe my mind
Caress my soul
Blanket me, guard me
Shroud me in night
Sharpen my senses
Feed my conscious
I find that the darkness
Has the brightest of lights
